Ensono is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to administer and optimize DB2 on mainframe environments. You will handle backups, restores, tuning, and DR planning for client databases across development, test, and production environments.

The role requires 10+ years in DB2 administration, strong performance tuning, and the ability to support 24x7 operations across time zones. Remote work is available, with on-call responsibilities.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
10+ years of professional DB2 administration and application support.
Experience administering DB2 on Mainframe systems.
Expert performance tuning to reduce MIPs consumption.
Experience with DB2 objects and security management.

Responsibilities

Provide premium DB2 DBA support for Mainframe DB2 systems.
Perform backups, restores, and reorganizations; maintain DR procedures.
Tune DB2 performance and analyze SQL for efficiency.
Support 24x7x365 on-call across multiple time zones.
Collaborate with development and production support groups.
Coordinate with vendor personnel to resolve DB2 problems.
