Job summary

Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Database Administrator for a remote, 100% US-based role supporting the Veterans Affairs (VA) department. This full-time position requires a Public Trust (MBI) clearance and U.S.

citizenship, with ≥8 years in database administration (Oracle and SQL Server). You will install, configure, monitor, and optimize DBMS, implement backup/recovery strategies, enforce security, manage user access, and collaborate with developers and IT staff to maintain data

Qualifications

• 8+ years of professional database administration experience.
• Experience with Oracle and SQL Server environments.
• Knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Remote work acceptable; US-based, 100% remote.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and upgrade DBMS systems.
