Syms Strategic Group (SSG) seeks a Senior Database Administrator to lead Oracle and SQL Server environments for a remote, 100% U.S.-based role supporting the Veterans Affairs department. You will install, configure, monitor, tune, and secure databases, implement backup/recovery plans, manage access, and collaborate with developers and system admins to ensure data integrity and availability.

The position requires 8+ years of experience, U.S.

Qualifikationen

8+ years of professional experience in database administration.
Expertise with Oracle and SQL Server databases.
Experience with backup, recovery, and security management.
Strong SQL writing and tuning skills.
Experience with EDIFECS and healthcare data standards is a plus.

Aufgaben

Install, configure, and upgrade DBMS.
Create and manage database objects (tables, indexes, views, stored procedures).
Monitor performance and tune queries.
Implement backup and disaster recovery strategies.
Enforce database security policies and access controls.
