Job summary

Upperline Health seeks an experienced Data Architect to own the application data layer, schemas, and transactional models. You will design APIs and data services with clear contracts, ensuring security, performance, and reliability across system boundaries.

You will collaborate with frontend and backend engineers, implement telemetry, data quality controls, and orchestrate CI/CD for data pipelines and migrations in a fast-paced health-tech environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong experience architecting, building, and operating production data layers and ingestion systems.
• Deep SQL, relational modeling, and performance tuning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the application data layer and schemas.
• Design APIs and data services with clear contracts for validation and versioning.
• Lead security, identity, and access data design (OAuth/OpenID, roles, audit trails).
• Implement telemetry and data quality checks, and monitor pipeline health and performance.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD for data pipelines, migrations, and deployments.
• Drive data-model evolution with cross-team collaboration and architecture reviews.
