Cohere Health is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platform Engineering to lead a critical part of our Data Platform team as we scale technology, engineering practices, and client delivery capabilities.

This role combines people leadership, technical judgment, and strong execution ownership to build a high-performing engineering team and drive predictable delivery, technical excellence, and operational reliability across complex data initiatives.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data/platform engineering or related field, with leadership experience.
• Proven track record leading cross-functional engineering initiatives.
• Strong delivery discipline, risk management, and accountability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Data Platform engineering team.
• Own execution across complex data initiatives with credible delivery plans and milestones.
• Ensure work is well-defined, estimated, sequenced, and ready before commitment; mitigate blockers.
• Maintain technical depth and validate architecture and quality with senior technical leaders.
• Foster cross-functional partnerships to align priorities and communicate status and decisions.
• Drive operational excellence in production support, on-call readiness, and data quality.
