Job summary

Foodsmart is seeking a Senior Manager, Data Platform to own the data lifecycle end-to-end, from ingestion pipelines to warehouse modeling and delivery to BI, experimentation, and AI tools. You will drive reliability, performance, and governance in a HIPAA-compliant environment while guiding a distributed data engineering team.

Qualifications

• Over a decade of experience in data engineering or platform domains.
• Led and scaled high-performing data teams, domestic and offshore.
• Hands-on mastery of modern cloud data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
• Expert dbt proficiency for large-scale architectures and semantic layers.
• Strong SQL and Python engineering skills for data pipelines and modeling.
• Healthcare data experience, especially HIPAA-compliant environments.

Responsibilities

• Take end-to-end ownership of the data lifecycle from pipelines to warehouse modeling.
• Define and enforce Data-as-a-Product with SLAs for data quality, freshness, and accessibility.
• Establish data observability and contracts to preempt regressions.
• Translate business needs into concrete technical roadmaps with cross-functional partners.
• Direct the evolution of foundational models for AI and analytics.
• Partner with Analytics & Data Science to set standards and handoffs.
• Maintain clear ownership boundaries between core product systems and analytics.
