Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to provide comprehensive database services for client applications, software development, and maintenance projects. You will oversee multi-platform databases and collaborate with development and operations teams.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT or related field.
15+ years of relevant experience in database administration.
Experience with Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server in enterprise environments.
Experience on-premise, AWS EC2/RDS, and data migration services.
Experience in database security, backups, and lifecycle management.
AWS and/or Azure experience; relevant certifications.

Responsibilities

Provide database administration for Oracle standalone and Oracle RAC on Linux/Sun Solaris.
Install, configure, and maintain database applications with patches/updates.
Manage database security and user permissions per requirements.
Develop/maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes).
Monitor and optimize database performance and tuning.
Manage backups and recovery strategies per client specs.
Support stakeholders across database and application teams.
Maintain lifecycle management processes per client specs.
Provide impact assessments for changes to app/database structures.
Provide schedules/resources for proposed changes to the app/database.
Offer sizing guidance for new or existing databases.
