Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or IT or equivalent
• Minimum 15+ years of relevant experience
• Extensive experience with Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server in enterprise environments
• Experience in Oracle, MySQL, SQL Server on On-premise, AWS EC2, AWS RDS or equivalent; AWS S3, AWS Data Migration Services
• Experience in Microsoft server environments and Database Lifecycle Management (DLM)
• Data scrub/masking/review; authentication hardening; AWS/Azure cloud experience
• Relevant security clearance eligibility (U.S. Suitability/Public Trust)

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration for Oracle standalone and Oracle RAC on Linux/Sun Solaris
• Install, configure, and maintain database applications with patches and updates
• Manage database security and user permissions
• Develop/maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes)
• Monitor and optimize database performance and tuning
• Manage database backup strategies and disaster recovery
• Provide support to development teams and stakeholders
• Maintain Database Lifecycle Management processes per client specs
• Provide impact/cost information for changes to app/database schema
• Provide sizing and resource estimates for new databases
• Participate in Solution Delivery meetings
• Collaborate with other DBAs for optimization and replication strategy
