Karsun Solutions, LLC is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to support databases that back client applications, software development, and maintenance projects for government-focused programs.

Responsibilities include administering Oracle standalone and RAC on Linux/SunSolaris, configuring database apps, managing security and performance, and coordinating with development teams and stakeholders to ensure robust data services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related IT field (Engineering/math/science acceptable).
• 15+ years of relevant experience in enterprise databases.
• Experience with Oracle, MySQL, and SQL Server DB administration.
• Experience on-premise and AWS/Azure hosting environments (EC2/RDS).
• Experience with database lifecycle management and data masking.

Responsibilities

• Provide database administration for Oracle standalone and Oracle RAC on Linux/SunSolaris.
• Install, configure, and maintain database applications with patches/updates.
• Manage security, permissions, and user access per requirements.
• Develop/maintain database objects (tables, views, indexes).
• Monitor and tune database performance and backup strategies.
• Provide support to development teams and stakeholders.
