Job summary

LSEG is seeking a Senior Database Engineer to join the DataScope Database Administration team. You will manage 400+ Sybase ASE, SQL Server, Oracle, and cloud-based databases across development, testing, and production, partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure solutions.

You will contribute to database modernization, automation, and operational excellence while supporting day-to-day database operations and performance optimization across Azure and AWS.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and optimizing relational databases across multiple platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, indexing, and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud-based database services and automation tooling.

Responsibilities

• Review database designs with development and product teams for new initiatives and fixes.
• Coordinate changes across upstream and downstream systems while maintaining data integrity.
• Develop, automate, and maintain database tools, scripts, and monitoring solutions.
• Support QA and cloud modernization efforts across Azure and AWS environments.
• Deliver reliable, scalable database services as part of the DataScope team.
