Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in CS/IT or related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive database administration experience.
• Proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with security, backup/recovery, DR planning, and data warehousing/ETL.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer and optimize production and non‑production DBs (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Design and tune indexing, statistics, and query plans for performance.
• Develop backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies and tests.
• Implement security controls including encryption and RBAC; audit trails.
• Lead upgrades, patching, and cross‑environment migrations to minimize downtime.
• Design and support ETL data integration across databases and warehouses.
• Perform capacity planning and storage management to balance performance and cost.
• Troubleshoot incidents (deadlocks, long-running jobs, contention) and isolate root causes.
