Job summary

ASM Research, An Accenture Federal Services Company is seeking a Mid Database Administrator to oversee enterprise databases in a regulated government environment. You will optimize Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL, design indexing strategies, and lead upgrades and migrations while coordinating with security, development, and operations teams.

The role requires 4–7 years of DB experience, a BA/BS in IT or related field, and US citizenship with willingness to travel < 10%. A SECRET clearance or ability to obtain one is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
• 4–7 years of progressive database administration experience.
• Proficiency with Oracle, SQL Server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL.
• Experience with security, backup, recovery, and data warehousing.
• Strong analytical and teamwork skills for cross-functional work.
• Active SECRET clearance or ability to obtain and maintain clearance.

Responsibilities

• Administer production and non-production databases (Oracle/SQL Server/MySQL/PostgreSQL).
• Design indexing, partitioning, and query plans to improve performance.
• Develop robust backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies.
• Implement encryption, RBAC, auditing, and other security controls.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Create and support ETL data integration across systems.
• Perform capacity planning and storage management.
• Troubleshoot complex incidents and root cause analysis.
