Do it Best Group in Fort Wayne, IN is seeking a skilled Database Administrator to manage, optimize, and secure enterprise databases across on‑premises and cloud platforms. You will handle SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL, develop SSIS packages, and ensure high availability and security for critical business applications.

The role requires 3+ years of DBA experience, strong tuning skills, and collaboration across teams. Occasional on‑call support is expected; relocation is not offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of Database Administration experience.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server (2012+).
• Experience with SSIS development and deployment.
• Experience with MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with Kafka for data streaming.
• Backup/recovery and high-availability configurations.

Responsibilities

• Install, patch, and upgrade Microsoft SQL Server and related tech.
• Manage and maintain enterprise databases on on-prem and cloud (Azure).
• Administer SQL Server, MySQL, MariaDB, and PostgreSQL databases.
• Develop and maintain SSIS packages; support SSRS as applicable.
• Monitor performance; apply tuning and optimization strategies.
• Design database solutions for OLTP, OLAP, and data warehousing.
• Support Kafka-based data workflows and integrations.
• Maintain database security and Active Directory integration.
• Perform backups, recovery planning, and restore operations.
• Capacity planning and ensuring high availability.
• Review vendor database components; handle Tier 2/3 issues.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call support as needed.
• Provide consultation to Technology Design and Development teams.
• Create and maintain database documentation and best practices.
