Job summary

Resourcesoft, Inc. is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to support enterprise modernization by managing high-volume databases, migrating datasets to cloud environments, and optimizing SQL and reporting workloads. The role requires strong coordination with technical teams and leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 8+ years in enterprise DB administration, expertise in Azure SQL, and proficiency with SSRS/Power BI for reporting and dashboards.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of enterprise relational database administration experience.
• Experience designing and tuning cloud database platforms (Azure SQL, PostgreSQL).
• Proven ability to develop parameter-driven reports with SSRS/Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain high-volume production and non-production databases.
• Manage end-to-end database migrations to cloud environments.
• Develop and optimize stored procedures, views, and analytics queries.
• Enforce database security, access controls, and configurations.
• Build enterprise reporting models and automated subscriptions with SSRS/Power BI.
• Draft architecture docs and monthly leadership status reports.

Requirements

• 8 or more years of experience in enterprise relational database administration, database design, and complex T-SQL programming.
• Proficiency in administering and tuning cloud database platforms including Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, and Azure PostgreSQL.
• Experience with developing parameter-driven reporting solutions utilizing SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and Power BI.
• Experience in executing backup and disaster recovery plans, setting database configurations, and designing logical data repositories.
• Experience with managing continuous deployment pipelines and software versioning using Azure DevOps and Visual Studio .NET.
• Experience in query optimization, database performance engineering, and cloud resource cost-reduction techniques.
• Excellent communication skills to coordinate with technical teams, brief executive leadership, and author comprehensive system documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer, monitor, and maintain high-volume production and non-production databases supporting enterprise modernization programs.
• Manage and execute end-to-end database migration processes to transition legacy datasets into cloud environments.
• Write and optimize complex stored procedures, database views, and analytical queries to minimize application latency.
• Enforce strict database access controls, parameter configurations, and data security standards across all environments.
• Develop and maintain enterprise reporting models, drill-down dashboards, and automated subscriptions using SSRS and Power BI.
• Formulate and implement contingency plans to eliminate technical obstacles and support business continuity goals.
• Author technical architecture documentation, system specifications, and comprehensive monthly status reports for leadership.
