Job summary

Resourcesoft, Inc. is seeking a senior Power BI Developer to design and deliver enterprise-grade BI solutions.

You will collaborate with stakeholders to capture requirements, build semantic data models, and create interactive dashboards that empower data-driven decision making. The role requires extensive experience with Power BI, DAX, data modeling, and deployment, including security and refresh automation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building enterprise Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic data models.
• Proficiency with DAX: calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations.
• Experience with data modeling including row/column security in Power BI.
• Experience connecting to diverse data sources (APIs, SQL databases, GIS layers, streaming datasets) for extraction and transformation.
• Power BI Service deployment expertise, access controls, and refresh automation.
• Strong communication to present insights to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with stakeholders and data analysts to gather requirements and define reporting/visualization objectives.
• Design and document conceptual, logical, and physical data models to support business needs.
• Connect to various data sources, ensuring seamless extraction, transformation, and integration.
• Write DAX formulas and build calculated columns, measures, and custom calculations for reports.
• Design and develop interactive dashboards with slicers, visuals, and drill-through functionality.
• Publish reports to Power BI Service, manage access controls, automate refresh schedules, and optimize performance for large datasets.
