Job summary

Verizon seeks a highly skilled Engineer III to lead data analytics and network defense initiatives. You will transform large telemetry and logs into strategic insights, collaborating with CISO, Network Systems, Fraud, and Security teams to design and harden defenses.

You will aggressively adopt Generative AI tools and knowledge platforms to optimize workflows, build scalable data pipelines, and deliver executive-level KPI updates on blocking and fraud mitigation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience.
• Three+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or analytics.
• Proficiency in Python with Pandas for data processing and defense guardrails.
• Experience with Generative AI workflows (Gemini, Claude) for runtime optimization.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end analytics transforming telemetry into proactive insights.
• Collaborate with CISO, Security, Fraud, and Voice Identity teams.
• Integrate Generative AI tools to streamline workflows and pipelines.
• Develop data pipelines and BigQuery SQL to isolate indicators.
• Own dashboards in Kibana/Tableau and visualize security telemetry.
