Job summary

Databricks Inc. seeks a Solution Architect to lead pre-sales and technical engagements for the Databricks Unified Analytics Platform.

You will work with customers, sales, product, and post-sales teams to identify use cases, design architectures, and guide adoption of our platform to deliver measurable value. You will build relationships, champion Databricks open-source projects, and travel to customer sites in your region.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
• Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
• Comfortable programming in Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
• Experience supporting Public Sector clients.
• Have built solutions with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Expertise in data engineering, data warehousing, or data science/ML.
• Top Secret Security Clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales to articulate Databricks value to customers.
• Provide technical leadership to evaluate and adopt Databricks.
• Consult on big data architectures and proof-of-concepts.
• Build architectural references, how-tos, and demos.
• Promote Databricks open-source projects in communities.
• Travel to customer sites within your region.
