Job summary

SunnyData seeks an experienced Solutions Architect to drive customer success by delivering scalable data platforms and Databricks-based solutions. You will split time between billable work and pre-sales support, shaping end-to-end architectures and guiding teams through design, implementation, and deployment.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in senior data roles, deep cloud and SQL expertise, and strong client-facing communication.

Qualifications

• 7+ years as a hands-on Solutions Architect or Sr. Data Engineer.
• Expertise in data engineering tech: Spark, Hadoop, Kafka; Databricks proficiency.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end data analytics workflow and architecture blueprints.
• Proficiency in Java, Python, and/or Scala.
• Cloud experience on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Strong SQL skills for writing, debugging, and optimization.
• Excellent client-facing communication and presentation abilities.
• Experience documenting solutions with POCs, roadmaps, diagrams, and system views.
• Leadership experience mentoring engineers and guiding teams.
• Ability to productionize end-to-end data solutions with emphasis on security and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Serve as trusted adviser to customers on data architecture and Databricks solutions.
• Design, build, and deploy data pipelines and analytics components.
• Lead pre-sales activities with sales teams and present technical solutions.
• Manage multiple customer accounts and track delivery milestones.
• Architect data solutions with governance, security, and quality in mind.
• Mentor project teams and educate customers on data products and environments.
