Job summary

Databricks is seeking a Sr. Solutions Architect to lead our most complex customer engagements, drive consumption strategy, and own executive relationships.

You will serve as the definitive technical authority, mentor peers, and shape enterprise-scale data and AI solutions. This role requires expert coding (Python/SQL/Spark), deep data architecture knowledge, and a proven track record of driving platform adoption in large accounts.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in solutions architecture or senior technical pre-sales leadership.
• Expert-level coding proficiency: Python, SQL, Spark/PySpark; live coding assessment during interview.
• Deep enterprise data architecture experience: distributed systems, real-time streaming, lakehouse design, data governance.

Responsibilities

• Drive consumption strategy for complex engagements and influence platform adoption.
• Own senior-level technical relationships with enterprise stakeholders.
• Lead architecture engagements: multi-workload platforms and real-time AI/ML at scale.
• Mentor junior SAs (L3–L5) and contribute to field engineering thought leadership.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver enterprise-grade solutions.
• Position Databricks against competitors through strategic execution.
