Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking an experienced Data Scientist to own high-impact data science initiatives. You will design measurement frameworks, lead experiments, and build Bayesian models to quantify risk and inform product and policy decisions.

The role requires 5+ years in quantitative analysis or 2+ years with a PhD, strong Bayesian skills, SQL/Python or R, and the ability to translate complex findings into actionable insights for cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a quantitative analysis role with a Master’s degree in a quantitative field or 2+ years with a PhD
• Deep expertise in experimentation and causal inference
• Strong knowledge of Bayesian modeling and its application to measurement, uncertainty quantification, and decision-making
• Proven ability to design and lead experimentation programs in complex environments
• Skilled in statistical programming and database usage. Proficient in SQL and Python or R
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex methodological findings into actionable insights and compelling narratives for audiences of varying technical levels
• Excellent judgment in navigating ambiguity, scoping problems, and driving impact through influence across cross-functional teams

Responsibilities

• Design and implement measurement and evaluation frameworks to understand the impact of Trust defenses
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to design and analyze experiments and quasi-experiments in challenging environments
• Build and iterate on Bayesian models that quantify risk and surface measurement gaps
• Generate insights on the effectiveness of Trust defenses and translate into strategic recommendations for product roadmap and policy decisions
• Deliver robust, leadership-ready research with rigorous analysis and clear narratives for technical and non-technical audiences
• Scale and evolve data science capabilities within the domain and contribute to the long-term data strategy
