United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Staff Data Scientist, Experimentation & Causal Inference to define how the company learns from experiments and turns results into trustworthy product decisions and strategy.

This founding, hands-on IC role carries executive sponsorship and a path to build a Data Science team as the function matures, in a fast-moving SaaS/CRM environment with small samples and multiple products.

Qualifications

• 9+ years in data science, product analytics, or applied statistics, with hands-on experience designing and analyzing online controlled experiments at scale.
• Strong applied statistics — frequentist foundations, Bayesian methods, power analysis, variance reduction, and failure modes of A/B testing.

Responsibilities

• Define end-to-end methodology every team follows and make it the default.
• Own the statistical approach for small-sample, fast-paced contexts where classic A/B power is hard to reach.
• Apply rigorous causal inference techniques when clean experiments aren't feasible; separate signal from bias and seasonality.
• Own design discipline for running many experiments at once with guardrails to prevent contamination.
• Partner with AI/ML teams to design experiments for AI features and measure non-deterministic systems.
• Run the experiment review forum and defend the validity of real results.
• Build curriculum and templates to scale this practice across PMs and analysts.
• Partner with Analytics Engineering on governed, experiment-ready data and consistent metrics.
• Influence leadership on where to invest using statistical insight.
