Job summary

Extend is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to join the Revenue & Risk Analytics team. You’ll translate data into strategic recommendations to scale and recover revenue, balancing business impact with technical rigor.

You’ll design end-to-end programs, improve risk coverage, and collaborate with Product and Engineering to turn insights into features that drive revenue. This remote-friendly role rewards curiosity and ownership.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in product data science or consulting with a focus on strategic impact.
• Solid foundations in experimentation, causal inference, forecasting, and modeling.
• Experience working with backend Product and Engineering on roadmaps.
• Expert knowledge of SQL, Python, A/B testing, and GitHub, with hands-on Snowflake and dbt.
• Curious, collaborative, and able to work in a remote-first team.
• Advanced degree in data science, analytics, economics, statistics or similar quantitative field.

Responsibilities

• Revenue optimization and risk mitigation: identify strategies across the revenue waterfall to grow and recover revenue with client-facing teams.
• Storytelling for client-facing teams: build data-backed narratives for Revenue to optimize partnerships.
• Influence the product roadmap: test ideas, prove with data, and push features that change how the company makes money.
• Data infrastructure: refine data pipelines and tracking methodologies to uncover revenue opportunities.
• Role model: set the standard for analytical thinking and excellence within the team.
