Southern Glazer's Wine and Spirits, North America's largest beverage distributor, seeks a Senior Data Scientist to craft advanced models and translate business needs into actionable insights for executive decisions. You will guide projects end-to-end, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven outcomes while improving data processes and performance.

The role requires strong background in ML, statistics and relational databases, with 5+ years of relevant experience and fluent

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD in mathematics, statistics or computer science (master’s preferred).
• Typically 5+ years of quantitative and qualitative research, analytics, data science or ML experience.
• Experience with ML algorithms and relational databases.
• Experience with data science modeling, analytics, BI or data-driven strategy.
• Experience managing and delivering complex technical products.
• Experience performing statistical analysis and visualization.
• Native-level English proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Gather data from a wide variety of sources within IT units and ensure quality and integrity.
• Perform exploratory data analysis and investigate patterns, anomalies and trends.
• Develop complex models using large datasets and advanced algorithms.
• Create visual representations of data to communicate findings and storytelling.
• Develop data science projects from inception to deployment aligned with business goals.
• Guide cross-functional teams in data-driven initiatives and ensure successful implementation.
• Prepare reports and presentations to convey insights and recommendations.
• Provide ideas to improve efficiency of data processes and model performance.
• Stay updated with latest tools and industry trends to improve data use.
• Begin to provide strategic insights to influence business decisions.
