Job summary

Digitas North America is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to deliver analytic solutions across client applications and build inferential and predictive models. You will process and integrate big data, develop pipelines, and translate findings into compelling stories for clients.

You will tackle marketing optimization, segmentation, targeting, and business strategy by leveraging diverse data sources and machine learning techniques with Python or R, SQL, and distributed computing tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a quantitative field such as statistics, mathematics, econometrics, operations research, data science, computer science, engineering, marketing or social science methods.
• Hands-on experience mining data for decision-focused insights.
• Hands-on experience with statistical or machine learning methods (descriptive statistics, hypothesis testing, dimension reduction, feature transformation, supervised or unsupervised learning).
• Proficient in Python or R, SQL, and distributed computing systems such as Hadoop or AWS; Linux familiarity and/or Spark is a plus.
• Interest in applying analytics to marketing/business challenges.

Responsibilities

• Translating and reframing marketing and business questions into analytical plans.
• Using distributed computing systems to ingest, access and integrate disparate big data sources.
• Conducting extensive exploratory analysis to identify insights and transformations.
• Applying quantitative techniques including statistical and machine learning methods.
• Building and testing scalable data pipelines or models for real-time applications.
• Summarizing, visualizing, and communicating analytic concepts for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Collaborating with stakeholders to set objectives, approaches and timelines.
• Sharing knowledge and advancing the Data Science practice.
