Job summary

Medbridge Inc. is seeking a Staff Data Scientist to lead end-to-end predictive and risk-adjustment models. You will own model development, validation, deployment, and monitoring in production environments, leveraging Snowflake and close collaboration with product and clinical partners.

You will establish methodological standards, communicate uncertainty clearly, and drive adoption of data-driven decisions that improve patient outcomes while upholding ethical use of healthcare data.

Qualifications

• Proven production model ownership: deployment, monitoring, retraining, and debugging.
• Statistical depth to reason about data generation, uncertainty, and method choice.
• Strong Python and SQL with disciplined software engineering practices: testing, version control, reviews, reproducible pipelines.
• Experience with real-world healthcare data, causal inference, and evaluation design.
• Experience taking a model from open-ended business goals to shipped features in collaboration with product and engineering.
• Clear communication with clinical, product, and leadership teams about uncertainty and tradeoffs.

Responsibilities

• Own design, development, validation, and production operation of predictive and risk-adjustment models, starting with outcomes benchmarking.
• Set methodological standards and document decisions for partner review.
• Write production-quality code with testing, versioning, reviews, and Snowflake deployment.
• Estimate impact of Medbridge products on patient outcomes using experimental and observational methods.
• Turn ambiguous goals into well-scoped problems and drive model adoption with cross-functional teams.
