Hertz in Estero, FL is seeking a senior data scientist to lead end-to-end ML initiatives within the Damage Science Team. You will develop and maintain predictive, descriptive, and prescriptive models to optimize repair routing, parts planning, and decision making across fleets.

You will collaborate with cross-functional partners, define problem statements, perform exploratory analysis, engineer features, and deploy models, with a strong emphasis on business impact and clear analytics for senior

Qualifications

• 5 years hands-on experience in a data scientist role (senior level)
• 3+ years of data querying languages (SQL) and scripting languages (Python)
• 3+ years of end-to-end ML model development (statements, EDA, feature eng, deployment)
• Demonstrated experience using ML to drive business impact
• Experience in ML/data science within car rental or technology sectors
• Bachelor or Masters in CS or quantitative discipline such as statistics, math, physics or engineering

Responsibilities

• Formulate strategic and tactical steps for end-to-end model development lifecycle
• Build and maintain descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive models to measure performance of new products/services
• Define and implement best practices for analytics, reports, visualizations, and dashboards for technical and non-technical audiences
• Build partnerships across functions to identify use cases and drive value aligned with OKRs
• Operate with owner mindset to drive business impact, including pipeline/analytics support
