Job summary

Gridware, a San Francisco-based company, is seeking a Data Scientist, Fleet Health to build predictive models, thresholds, and optimization frameworks for our growing IoT fleet. You will work with engineering, operations, and product teams to forecast device health, solar availability, and connectivity performance, enabling proactive maintenance and scalable interventions.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of applied data science experience with large-scale IoT or clean-tech systems.
• Experience in forecasting, anomaly detection, and predictive modeling for time-series or sensor data.
• Proficiency in Python and ML libraries; comfortable with SQL and Spark.
• Strong communication to translate findings for cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop predictive and forecasting models to anticipate device health, solar availability, and connectivity performance.
• Define, test, and refine health thresholds to classify degradations and optimize fleet performance.
• Design and evaluate tests and simulations to measure impact and identify optimization opportunities.
• Collaborate with engineering, fleet operations, and software teams to embed intelligence into monitoring pipelines at scale.
• Communicate insights and contribute to scalable fleet intelligence frameworks for growth from tens of thousands to millions of devices.
