Job summary

Hertz is seeking an Operations Research Analyst to optimize fleet performance through data analytics, reporting, and automation. You will extract and analyze data using SQL/Python/R, build dashboards in Tableau, and deliver actionable recommendations to improve profitability and service levels.

The role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams and will be based in Estero, FL with hybrid office attendance (3 days on-site per week). A strong quantitative background is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required; Master's preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in data analytics or related quantitative field.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills with SQL, Python, R, SAS, and visualization tools.
• Ability to turn data into actionable business insights and recommendations.
• Familiarity with data sources, ETL, dashboards, and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Drive fleet performance by building automation tools and delivering data insights.
• Use SQL, R, or Python to extract, clean, and analyze data.
• Create dashboards and visualizations in Tableau.
• Gather, organize, maintain, and analyze data to support decisions.
• Analyze key business metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to design and build reports using Tableau, Excel, Databricks, S3, Athena.
• Ensure data accuracy and timely reporting.
• Provide data support to team members and stakeholders.
• Maintain efficient processes to keep data current and reporting on schedule.
