Job summary

TransUnion is seeking a Sr Consultant, Data Science and Analytics to partner with cross-functional teams in the US financial services sector. You will drive analytic initiatives, deliver predictive and prescriptive insights, and craft data-driven solutions for credit issuers, lenders, and banks.

Strong programming in R/SAS, SQL, Hive, and Pig is essential. You will present findings to executives and mentor juniors while operating in a hybrid role with some in-person collaboration at a TU office

Qualifications

• Master’s or PhD degree in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, OR operations research.
• 4+ years of analytic experience in Financial Services or related industries.
• Multiple client-facing engagements over at least 3 years.
• Advanced programming: R or SAS; SQL, Hive, Pig; Python; familiarity with Hadoop data management.
• Strong project management skills and ability to manage multiple assignments.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive new business initiatives and deliver data-driven value for US B2B clients.
• Lead analytic engagements using descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive methods across lending portfolios.
• Design and write programs for data extraction and analysis on large datasets using R, SAS, SQL, Hive, and Pig.
• Deliver insights in concise presentations to internal/external executives and mentor junior colleagues.
