Job summary

TransUnion seeks a Sr Consultant, Data Science and Analytics to lead analytic engagements for US financial services clients. You will partner with cross-functional teams to deliver descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive insights across the consumer lending lifecycle.

You will develop data extraction and analytics programs using R, SAS, SQL, Hive, Pig, Python and related tools, while mentoring junior colleagues and presenting findings to executives.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in statistics, applied mathematics, financial mathematics, engineering, operations research, or another highly quantitative field.
• Academic excellence track record.
• At least four (4) years of professional analytic experience in Financial Services or related industries.

Responsibilities

• Partner with cross-functional teams to drive new business initiatives.
• Develop predictive risk management and BI solutions for US financial services clients.
• Lead analytic client engagements involving descriptive, predictive, and prescriptive analysis.
• Design programs for data extraction, segmentation and statistical analysis on large population datasets using languages such as R, SAS, SQL, Hive, and Pig on Linux, PC, and mainframe platforms.
• Deliver analytic insights and recommendations in succinct presentations for internal and external customers and executives.
• Develop project proposals, sales presentations and collateral to enable adoption of integrated customer solutions.
• Identify strategies for customers to test and adopt TransUnion’s analytic products and services.
• Provide mentorship and training to junior colleagues and progress on initiatives under limited supervision.
