Decagon, a leading conversational AI platform, seeks a senior data role to define and operationalize performance metrics for its largest deployments, collaborating with Product, Strategy, and Deployment teams. You will own how metrics are defined, measured, and demonstrated, driving decisions with data-backed insights across campaigns.

Your background includes 5+ years in data science or analytics, exceptional judgment on metrics, and fluency in SQL and Python.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in data science, analytics, or another quantitative role.
• Exceptional judgment interpreting metrics and edge cases.
• Comfort in fast-moving, ambiguous situations and shaping the approach.
• Strong independence and ability to define work with minimal direction.
• Ability to align stakeholders around a shared definition of success across parties.
• Strong technical fundamentals in SQL and Python with unstructured data.

Responsibilities

• Define metrics with customers and operationalize them for trust and adoption.
• Own delivery of metrics and ensure transparent data access to reinforce the narrative.
• Improve key metrics on accounts by diagnosing drivers and designing experiments.
• Scope and build product features, tools, and frameworks to scale this work across Decagon.
• Define success for new initiatives where precedent does not yet exist.
• Run tight feedback loops with Product, Engineering, and Research to evolve the product.
