Job summary

Intuit is seeking a Staff Data Scientist for the TurboTax CRM and Lifecycle Marketing data science team in Mountain View, CA. The role focuses on evolving from campaign optimization to customer journey design, driving strategy, analytics, and data-powered decisions.

You will partner with Tax leadership and marketing teams, design experiments, develop predictive models, and build self-serve data tools to scale insights across journeys and audiences.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science and analytics, with demonstrated ability to drive strategy and impact across a business area.
• First-principles thinking to translate ambiguous strategy into analytical problems.
• Design and interpret complex experiments beyond traditional A/B testing; apply causal inference when experimentation is constrained.
• Deep expertise in causal inference, segmentation, journey analytics, and experimentation design.
• Experience building and owning predictive models through their lifecycle.
• Experience creating reusable frameworks, methodologies, and data products.
• Proficiency in SQL and a statistical programming language (Python or R).

Responsibilities

• Shape Lifecycle Marketing strategy using data and framing the right question.
• Convert challenges into analytical frameworks, metric trees, and testable hypotheses for CRM roadmap.
• Define north-star metrics and success across customer journey stages.
• Apply causal measurement and counterfactual reasoning to identify drivers of outcomes.
• Design and run experiments, holdouts, and synthetic tests when clean A/B tests are unavailable.
• Translate findings into actionable recommendations for Directors and VP-level stakeholders.
• Deliver insights at scale across journeys, cohorts, funnels, and lifetime value.
