Job summary

Angi is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to lead the development of an AI agent suite that helps Pros manage their business. You will shape agent behavior, design evaluation systems, and run experiments to improve lead-to-job outcomes, directly impacting Pro revenue.

The role requires hands-on work with SQL, Python, and cloud ML, plus collaboration with engineers, PMs, designers, and ops. A strong track record of production ML in a marketplace context is expected.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of data science and ML experience in tech/marketplace environments.
• Experience with non-deterministic outputs (LLM apps, conversational agents) and evaluation methods.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with cloud ML solutions.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Agent Behavior & Development: improve agent conversation, qualification, and booking logic.
• Evaluation & Measurement: build systems to quantify agent quality and run experiments.
• Conversation Analysis: extract failure modes and prioritize improvements.
• Modeling & Production Ownership: develop and deploy predictive models in production.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: partner with engineers, PMs, designers, and ops.
• Innovation & Mentorship: foster new approaches and guide junior team members.
