Job summary

Angi is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build the Pro-focused AI agent suite, starting with an AI voice and SMS agent that automates job qualification and appointment booking for homeowners. The role spans model development, evaluation design, and end-to-end deployment in production, with impact on Pro revenue and platform performance.

Qualifications

• Master's or Ph.D. in a quantitative field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of data science and ML experience.
• Experience with non-deterministic outputs (LLM apps, conversational agents).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python; cloud ML experience.
• Experience measuring model quality and experimentation.
• Strong communication to non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvements to agent behavior for conversation, qualification, and booking.
• Build evaluation systems to measure agent quality and experiment design.
• Analyze real conversations to identify failure modes and improvement paths.
• Develop predictive models for qualification, engagement, and timing decisions and productionize them.
• Collaborate with engineers, product, design, and operations to deploy data-driven solutions.
• Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of learning and innovation.
