Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. in North Bethesda, MD, is seeking a Data Scientist 3, Applied AI, to advance predictive analytics and AI capabilities across Marketing, Loyalty, Global Sales, Finance, and eCommerce.

You will build models, guide data sources, and collaborate with IT to scale AWS analytics for machine learning, generative AI, and analytics. Strong programming, math skills, and a data-driven mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of analytical experience in predictive modeling and statistical techniques.
• Experience with ML approaches including decision trees, gradient boosted models, and neural networks.
• Familiarity with LLMs, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) and agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Lead modeling initiatives that drive enterprise decisions and solve strategic needs with statistical models and AI.
• Deliver timely ad hoc analyses and product presentations, including geospatial analyses, to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with IT and Data Delivery teams to enhance infrastructure for real-time ML and generative AI modeling capabilities.
• Deploy solutions using AWS services such as Redshift, Athena, S3, SageMaker AI, Bedrock, and AgentCore.
