Job summary

Pfizer seeks a Senior Manager, Data Scientist to lead analytical direction for the Innovation, Data & Analytics (IDA) Team within Medical Affairs. You will design, evaluate, and implement ML-driven workflows, partner with AI/ML engineers, and ensure governance and data quality across complex healthcare data sources.

You will translate business questions into analytic plans, mentor data scientists, and drive cross-functional collaboration to deliver scalable, responsible AI-enabled solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in a quantitative field with 6+ years in data science or healthcare analyticsMBA with 5+ years applying data-science methods acceptable in regulated environments
• Proficiency with Python or R and SQL, and modern data-science libraries

Responsibilities

• Lead the selection, design, and evaluation of analytical and ML approaches for IDA initiatives.
• Design segmentation methodologies using healthcare data sources.
• Define analytical logic, performance measures, validation methods, and decision criteria.
• Conduct advanced analyses to identify patterns, trends, opportunities, risks.
• Ensure methods and outputs are well documented, reproducible, and fit for purpose.
• Evaluate emerging AI techniques for relevance and scalability.
