Job summary

Deloitte, via its SFL Scientific unit, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to collaborate with clients and design novel AI projects within a consulting framework. The role focuses on data strategy, exploratory analysis, and long-term solution design, partnering with interdisciplinary teams.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in AI/ML, hands-on deployment using Kubernetes/Docker, and cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP). Travel and commuting distance to Deloitte offices are expected.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in a relevant STEM field (Data Science, CS, Engineering, Math, Physics, etc.).
• 3+ years of AI/ML algorithm development using Python, PyTorch, and data analysis (NLP, time-series, CV).
• 3+ years applying traditional ML and deep learning (CNNs, RNNs, GANs) with production validation.
• 3+ years deploying ML models with Kubernetes, Docker, TensorRT/Trion, Kubeflow, MLflow.
• 3+ years leveraging cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for AI/ML workloads.
• Live within commuting distance to a Deloitte office and able to travel ~10%.

Responsibilities

• Define data strategy and drive technical development for AI/ML projects.
• Lead client initiatives to deliver AI/ML solutions, with thought leadership and ongoing maintenance.
• Research and implement novel ML approaches, advancing training, design, and hardware optimization.
• Validate models via code reviews, unit and integration tests.
• Collaborate with data engineers, scientists, PMs, and business teams to align with objectives.
