Job summary

SFL Scientific, a Deloitte Business, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer to develop robust AI infrastructure and deployment services across enterprise data platforms. You will collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and project managers to deliver scalable architectures and cutting-edge AI solutions.

Required: 4+ years in data engineering/ML deployment, cloud design, and programming with Python/SQL; strong leadership and communication skills; willingness to travel and work across modern data

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years in data engineering, data science, software engineering, or MLOps focusing on AI deployment.
• 4+ years designing cloud solutions and leading production projects with AWS/Azure/GCP.
• 4+ years programming in Linux Shell/CLI, Python, SQL, PowerShell, etc.
• 2+ years managing technical delivery teams on complex projects.
• 2+ years with CI/CD and automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Chef, Airflow, Terraform, Jenkins).
• 2+ years with database development and ETL/ELT pipelines (relational, NoSQL, Neo4j).
• 2+ years deploying and optimizing with Kubernetes, Docker, GPUs, and HPC stacks.
• Live within commuting distance to a Deloitte office; 10% travel expectation; immigration sponsorship possible.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy architectures for ML and automation apps.
• Leverage cloud and on-prem data architecture for scalable AI solutions.
• Lead data architecture projects supporting client business and AI use cases.
• Define database schemas and data pipelines for scalable algorithms.
• Participate in architecture discussions ensuring security and high availability.
• Adopt best practices in automation, HPC, and AI infrastructure.
• Lead proofs-of-concept for new data and cloud tech.
• Mentor junior team members on technical practices and development.
