Merrick Bank is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to build and deploy predictive analytics that influence credit risk, marketing, and revenue decisions. You will lead model development, validation, and monitoring while collaborating with business partners and technology teams to deliver robust, scalable solutions.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in statistical methods, machine learning, and experience with Python, R, and SQL.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in quantitative fields is required.
• PhD in a quantitative field is preferred.
• At least 1 year of hands-on experience building predictive models or advanced analytics in financial services or regulated industries.

Aufgaben

• Develops, validates, and maintains predictive models supporting Credit Risk, Marketing, Balance/Revenue forecasting, Direct Mail Response, and account-level valuation.
• Provides end-to-end ownership of the model development lifecycle: framing, design, data analysis, modeling, validation, deployment, and user enablement.
• Applies statistical techniques including logistic regression, GLMs, clustering, and forecasting.
• Designs and implements ML solutions using gradient boosting, random forests, ensemble methods, and other advanced methods.
• Develops model monitoring to ensure performance, fairness, and regulatory compliance; investigates issues and suggests corrective actions.
• Communicates insights and model performance to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Supports governance, validation, and regulatory examinations with thorough documentation.
• Researches AI tech including LLMS, RAG, and generative AI applications.
