Job summary

Merrick Bank, a CardWorks Financial Group subsidiary, is seeking a Senior Data Scientist to develop and deploy predictive analytics that drive risk, marketing, and business decisions. You will lead model development lifecycle from framing to deployment, leveraging ML, deep learning, and emerging AI techniques.

You’ll partner with business and tech teams to deliver robust analytical solutions, ensure regulatory compliance, and explore LLMs/RAG for advanced applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in quantitative fields required.
• PhD in quantitative field preferred.
• At least 1 year of hands-on predictive modeling or ML in regulated industries.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and monitor predictive models for risk, marketing, and revenue forecasting.
• Apply statistical methods including logistic regression and GLMs; design ML solutions like gradient boosting and ensembles.
• Develop model monitoring and governance processes; communicate insights to stakeholders.
