Job summary

Regions Bank is seeking a Senior Risk Data Scientist to research, model, implement, and validate predictive and prescriptive algorithms. You will mentor junior data scientists, lead multiple projects, and apply advanced quantitative methods to manage risk and drive data-driven decisions.

Strong SQL, Python/R/Java, Hadoop/Spark, and visualization skills are required. You will work with cross-functional teams to build data analytics solutions, communicate outcomes to senior leaders, and contribute

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in a quantitative field with several years of related experience.
• Advanced degree and hands-on Big Data experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with statistical and predictive modeling techniques and machine learning.

Responsibilities

• Mentor junior data scientists and guide project teams.
• Plan and manage multiple concurrent data science projects.
• Leverage quantitative methods to evaluate complex business problems and manage risk.
• Work with large structured and unstructured datasets to derive actionable insights.
