Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to transform data into actionable insights that drive product strategy and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, develop statistical and machine learning solutions, and communicate findings through dashboards and reports.

You will partner with Product Managers, Software Engineers, Business Analysts, Data Engineers, and Quality Engineers to identify opportunities where data and AI can improve decision-making,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a data-focused field.
• 3+ years in data science, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• Proficient in Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling.
• Experience in Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• AI & Emerging Tech: contribute to AI-enabled products and operational initiatives across VALUE portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate prompts, retrieval strategies, model outputs, and AI-enabled workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks to measure AI accuracy, latency, and business impact.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate AI into production services.
• Data Analysis & Insights: analyze large datasets, transform data into actionable recommendations, and develop dashboards and KPIs.
