Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to turn data into actionable insights that influence product strategy, operations, and customer outcomes. You will build statistical and ML solutions, communicate findings with clear visuals, and partner with PMs, engineers, and analysts to identify opportunities where data and AI create measurable business value.

The role involves advancing AI technologies, including Generative AI and LLMs, while ensuring responsible and secure use,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, machine learning, or related analytical roles.
• Demonstrated experience using Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling.
• Experience with Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-enabled products and operational initiatives across the VALUE portfolio.
• Develop, validate, and maintain statistical and machine learning models.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to translate questions into analytical solutions.
• Develop dashboards, visualizations, reports, and models for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Define KPIs and measurement frameworks to evaluate product and business performance.
