Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist to transform data into actionable insights that influence product strategy, operations, and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, develop ML solutions, and present findings via clear visuals and reports.

You will partner with Product, Software, Data, and Quality Engineers to identify opportunities where data and AI improve decision-making, automate workflows, and create measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in data science, statistics, mathematics, CS, engineering, analytics, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in data science, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• Experience with Python for data analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling.
• Experience in Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AI-enabled products and initiatives across the VALUE portfolio.
• Develop and evaluate prompts, retrieval strategies, and AI-assisted workflows.
• Build evaluation frameworks for AI accuracy, latency, and impact.
• Collaborate with engineering to integrate AI into production services.
• Establish best practices for governance, monitoring, and human oversight.
