Job summary

Pearson is seeking a Data Scientist for the VALUE team to transform data into actionable insights that influence product strategy and customer outcomes. You will analyze structured and unstructured data, develop statistical and ML solutions, and communicate findings via dashboards and reports.

You will partner with Product, Engineering, Data, and Quality teams to identify opportunities where data and AI improve decision-making, automate workflows, and deliver measurable business value.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in data science, statistics, mathematics, CS, engineering, analytics, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years in data science, analytics, ML, or related roles.
• Experience with Python for analysis, modeling, and automation.
• Experience with statistical analysis, EDA, and predictive modeling.
• Experience working in Agile product or engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evaluate AI-enabled capabilities for VALUE products and initiatives.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, and Analysts to turn questions into data-driven solutions.
• Build and monitor evaluation frameworks for AI accuracy, latency, and business impact.
• Communicate technical findings and recommendations to diverse audiences.
• Share knowledge through documentation and collaboration.
