THOR Solutions, LLC seeks a senior-level Data Science Manager to support the US Coast Guard Ship Design Team in Washington, DC. The role focuses on statistical analysis and data mining to understand Coast Guard platforms, systems, and personnel, with prior federal environment experience preferred.

The candidate will lead data science projects from requirements to deployment, leverage SQL and Python-based toolkits, and collaborate across teams to improve data-driven decision making.

Qualifications

• Eight+ years applying statistical analysis and data mining to derive insights.
• Experience leading Data Science projects from requirements to deployment.
• Experience in USCG, Navy, DoD or federal environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan and conduct statistical analytics studies and sampling plans.
• Utilize SQL, Python and visualization tools for data analysis and presentation.
• Develop plans for full product development from requirements to deployment and sustainment.
• Provide recommendations for data use, standards, and life-cycle support.
• Perform simulations and sampling techniques (e.g., Monte Carlo, Latin Hypercube).
• Support manning and training analyses for Coast Guard assets and units.
