THOR Solutions, LLC in Washington, DC seeks a senior-level Data Science Manager to support the US Coast Guard Ship Design Team. You will apply statistical analysis and data mining to understand data related to Coast Guard platforms, systems and personnel, and lead data-driven initiatives within a federal environment.

The role emphasizes planning, oversight of end-to-end DS projects, and collaboration across data science tools and visualization packages.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as operations research, data science, applied mathematics or statistics, business management, or human resources management.
• At least eight (8) years of recent, relevant professional experience applying statistical analysis and data mining to apply, learn, and improve understanding of data.
• Developing plans and oversight for full product development for Data Science projects from requirements development to deployment and sustainment.
• Using data workflow management tools and approaches such as Kanban boards, Agile development, etc.

Responsabilités

• Plan and conduct statistical data analytics projects and studies to evaluate, design, and tabulate sampling plans and analytical procedures.
• Leverage SQL, Python data science and visualization packages (PyMC3, matplotlib, Bokeh, Sci-Kit, TensorFlow), MATLAB, PHP, Tableau for data integration and visualization.
• Develop plans and oversight for full product development for Data Science projects from requirements development to deployment and sustainment.
• Provide recommendations for data use, including development of standards and life-cycle assessments.
• Perform simulations and sampling techniques such as Monte Carlo, Latin Hypercube, and Markov Chain.
