Job summary

Highmark Health is seeking a Data Protection Engineer to join the Data Protection team. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and supporting data protection infrastructure and applications across on-prem and cloud environments (GCP, AWS, Azure).

You will work with Purview, ForcePoint, BigID, and Varonis, develop DLP/DSPM policies, and assist with incidents and root-cause analysis. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in data protection, strong scripting in PowerShell or Python, and

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with Data Loss Prevention
• 5+ years of experience with Information Security and Systems Analysis
• 5+ years of experience deploying and maintaining infrastructure for DLP software
• 5+ years of experience creating and managing DLP policies
• 3+ years of scripting with Python, Java, JavaScript, BASH or PowerShell
• 3+ years designing and supporting architectures for GCP, AWS, or Azure
• Knowledge of HITRUST CSF, NIST 800-83, PCI, HIPAA, HITECH, COBIT, ISO 27001/2, ITIL

Responsibilities

• Implement and maintain data protection infrastructure across platforms
• Troubleshoot incidents and perform root cause analysis
• Design and implement data protection solutions in line with policies
• Configure data protection policies and tune detection parameters
• Collaborate with team to expand data protection capabilities and stay current with compliance requirements
