Job summary

Hirewell in Tampa, FL is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions within Snowflake and cloud data platforms. The role focuses on data pipelines, modeling, and performance tuning, with hands-on leadership.

You will drive AI-enabled analytics, semantic search, and GenAI capabilities using Cortex, dbt, Airflow, and other modern tools, shaping enterprise data products for clinical, RCM, VBC, and ops use cases.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data engineering or cloud data architecture.
• Deep Snowflake experience including ELT design and cost governance.
• Strong SQL and Python skills with dbt or equivalent.
• Experience with healthcare data domains (EMR, claims, eligibility) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Architect scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines and platform components.
• Architect and maintain a Snowflake-based medallion data lake (Bronze → Silver → Gold).
• Define standards for data modeling, transformation, testing, and documentation.
• Lead the design of domain-oriented data products for clinical and operational use cases.
• Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve performance and automation.
