Qualifications

About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer with deep expertise in Snowflake, cloud data platforms, and AI/GenAI technologies to design, build, and optimize scalable data solutions. This role will lead to the development of modern data platforms while enabling AI-driven analytics, intelligent automation, semantic search, and machine learning capabilities within the Snowflake ecosystem.

The ideal candidate combines strong data engineering skills with hands‑on experience in Snowflake Cortex, AI-powered data services, and cloud-native architectures to deliver innovative business solutions.

This is a hands‑on engineering leadership role focused on data pipelines, orchestration, modeling, and performance optimization.

Core Responsibilities
  • Architect scalable, cost-efficient data pipelines and platform components
  • Architect and maintain a Snowflake-based medallion data lake (Bronze → Silver → Gold) optimized for analytics, BI, and scalable downstream consumption.
  • Define standards for data modeling, transformation, testing, and documentation
  • Lead the design of domain-oriented data products for clinical, RCM, VBC, and operational use cases
  • Evaluate and implement new technologies to improve performance, reliability, and automation
Advanced Data Pipeline Engineering
  • Build and optimize ELT/ETL pipelines using Snowflake, dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, Python
  • Design ingestion frameworks for EMR, RCM, claims, ERP, HRIS, CRM, and digital systems
  • Implement streaming or near-real-time ingestion (Kafka/Kinesis optional)
  • Ensure pipelines meet SLAs for freshness, accuracy, and availability
Data Modeling & Transformation
  • Develop advanced dbt models, macros, tests, and reusable transformation frameworks
  • Build semantic layers and metric definitions for BI and analytics teams
  • Implement data quality, lineage, and metadata standards across domains
Snowflake AI & GenAI Solutions
  • Design and implement AI-powered solutions using Snowflake Cortex.
  • Develop and support use cases leveraging Cortex Analyst, Cortex Search, and Cortex Agents.
  • Build Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) architectures, semantic search, and vector-based retrieval solutions.
  • Enable natural language access to enterprise data and AI-driven analytics capabilities.
Document Intelligence & Unstructured Data
  • Develop intelligent document processing solutions using Snowflake Document AI.
  • Extract, classify, and process information from invoices, contracts, forms, and other unstructured content.
  • Support AI-driven document search, automation, and knowledge management initiatives.
Machine Learning & Advanced Analytics
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists and AI teams to operationalize machine learning and Generative AI solutions.
  • Support model deployment, monitoring, and lifecycle management using Snowflake ML.
  • Develop data assets and pipelines to enable predictive analytics and AI-powered business solutions.
Cloud, Automation & Integration
  • Design and support cloud-native architectures across AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Integrate Snowflake with enterprise applications, AI services, and streaming platforms.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines, Infrastructure-as-Code, and automation frameworks to improve platform efficiency.
Security, Governance & Compliance
  • Implement data governance, access controls, security policies, and regulatory compliance standards.
  • Manage Snowflake security features including RBAC, data masking, and secure data sharing.
  • Ensure data privacy, AI governance, and adherence to organizational standards.
Qualifications
Required
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field
  • 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platforms, or Cloud Data Architecture
  • 5+ years of hands‑on Snowflake experience including ELT design, and cost governance
  • Strong SQL engineering skills and advanced Snowflake performance tuning
  • Experience with dbt or similar transformation frameworks.
  • Hands‑on experience with Python for pipeline development.
  • Deep understanding of healthcare data: EMR, claims, eligibility, provider, and patient datasets.
  • Familiarity with data governance, lineage, cataloging, and metadata management.
  • Experience working in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and Infrastructure as Code
  • Snowflake AI Skills – Cortex, Analyst, Search, Document AI, Semantic Search
